Let us take a moment today, on this 11th of May 2021, to thank technology for making our lives more connected in every way.
Significance: National Technology Day is celebrated every year for the achievements and advancement of the Indian Science and nuclear weapon by eminent scientists who are working day in and out. Going back to the historical importance on 11th May 1998 India successfully constructed a nuclear test in Rajasthan at the Indian Army’s Pokhran test range under Operation Shakti. This was under the guidance of the ever-inspiring legend Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. It was a huge success and this day was celebrated from that year onwards. This mission was successfully carried out in collaboration with top scientists from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMDER). All the tests eventually made India the most capable of building thermonuclear weapons and fission bombs.
On this National Technology Day, India witnessed the first-ever Aircraft Hansa-1 that took flight and DRDO was tested on the surface to air the Trishul Missile (a short missile with quick reaction).
National Technology Day isn’t limited to this. We should all be grateful for the accessibility that we have as a result of technology in this pandemic. CredR makes an attempt to express gratitude for the technical advancements that have kept us moving on occasion.

We owe it to technology to provide us with the air we breathe, the water we drink, and connectivity that links and enhances our relationships around the world. With advanced technologies, everybody will contribute to the cause of peace and better quality of life.
