Triumph has unveiled the new Tiger 1200 in the international market. The new Triumph Tiger 1200 is the iconic British brand’s most ambitious project offering the “Best of All World’s.” The new motorcycle is also set to transform the Tiger 1200 family in terms of design, performance, weight and capability. While the new Triumph Tiger 1200 family not only builds on the previous generation model’s strengths but also comes with a new triple engine platform and a shaft-drive set-up. 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – GT and Rally
The new Triumph Tiger 1200 will come in two main variants – GT and Rally. The GT is a road-focused version featuring three trims – Tiger 1200 GT (Standard with 20-litre fuel tank), Tiger 1200 GT Pro (20-litre fuel tank) and Tiger GT Explorer (30-litre fuel tank). The brand offers the Tiger 1200 GT with cast aluminium wheels with a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear setup. The Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally comes with the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro (20-litre fuel tank) and Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer (30-litre fuel tank). The all-terrain adventure rally trim comes with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoke wheel setup.
2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Ergonomic Features
The Triumph Tiger 1200 features excellent rider ergonomics offering a comfortable and stable ride. The Tiger 1200 comes with an upright handlebar, ergonomically designed seats and mid-set footpegs. The rider can also adjust the seat height, which can be lowered even further with a low seat accessory.
2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Technical Specifications
Powering the new Tiger 1200 is a brand new 1160cc three-cylinder engine with liquid cooling. The motor comes with a unique T-plane crankshaft and dual radiators. The engine produces 150 PS of power and 130 Nm of torque.
The motorcycle comes with a lightweight frame and a bolt-on rear aluminium subframe with pillion hangers. The Tiger 1200 rides on advanced Showa semi-active suspension. The motorcycle comes with Brembo Stylema brake callipers equipped with optimised cornering ABS with an IMU (Inertial Measuring Unit).

The all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 comes with a Blind Spot Radar System, developed in partnership with Continental. The adventure motorcycle comes with 7-inch TFT instruments with an integrated My Triumph Connectivity System. Triumph also offers 6-riding modes and an all-new keyless system. This includes an ignition, steering lock and fuel cap system. The bike also features an optimised Cornering Traction Control with IMU. The motorcycle also features LED lighting with DRL, plus Adaptive Cornering Lights, Triumph Shift Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Hill Hold system and Heated Grips and Seats.
