Honda has revealed its updated 2022 CB500X adventure touring motorcycle in international markets. The Japanese brand is offering significant updates on the CB500X adventurer-tourer. The brand is also likely to launch the motorcycle in India sometime during 2022. The Japanese manufacturer first launched the CB500X in 2013. The company offers the crossover adventure style by embodying Honda’s fun-focused “light-middleweight” engine platform. Honda is currently selling the 2021 version of the CB500X in India via its Big Wing & Big Wing TopLine dealerships.
2022 Honda CB500X – Design & Updates
The 2022 CB500X continues with its adventure-tourer styling with LED headlamps and a small beak. Additionally, the 2022 CB500X also comes with a tall touring-style windscreen, boomerang-shaped side panels, ergonomic seat design, upright handlebars, and a sharp tail section. The compact LED turn indicators come with clear-screen LED taillamps. The bike also features a compact exhaust. The 2022 CB500X also continues to sport the 19-inch front alloy wheel and the 17-inch rear alloy wheel.
The all-new 2022 CB500X comes with 41mm, inverted, Showa front forks with a cast aluminium front wheel. The motorcycle also comes with dual 296mm front brake discs with Nissin radial-mount four-piston callipers. The new brakes replace the previous 310mm single disc brake. The motorcycle also comes with a new rear swingarm that improves ride comfort and handling. The new machine also weighs 2.27 Kg lighter than before. The motorcycle also features a larger front fender and Honda has re-worked the weight bias. The new CB500X also gets a new Pearl Organic Green colour.
2022 Honda CB500X – Technical Specifications
Powering the CB500X is the same 471cc, parallel-twin cylinder, four-stroke DOHC engine with liquid-cooling and advanced fuel injection technology. This allows the motor to produce 47 PS of power and 43.2 Nm of torque via a 6-speed gearbox. The 2022 CB500X also gets an Assist/Slipper Clutch that grants smoother shifting during on-road or off-road riding.
